Finally made it out of the bad weather!!! We are in Nebraska right now and the rest of the trip is looking up. The countdown for when we have to get back has been less than comforting. We have been skud running (flying through bad weather VERY slowly) this entire trip.
We spent last night in Branson Missouri. I honestly felt like I was in Disney Land, I kept waiting for a giant mascot to try and give me a hug...very thankful that did not happen. Tourist central for sure! Walked along the boardwalk after having some amazing crab and shrimp. FTW!
Today was the first day that we actually made some good distance, about ten hours of flying which was really great. The place we landed in Nebraska is a town of about 10,000 but apparently nobody ever uses their runway. The girl at the hotel did not even realize that there was an airport. There just are not any planes around here. Seems weird to me but oh well.
Just got out of the hot tub and I'm ready for some ZZZ's.
